Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Math Question. HR gal at prospective job gave 3 dollar amounts. Starting salary, "Midpoint", and "25th percentile". Starting is the lowest, and, ironically, 25th percentile is about midway between starting and "midpoint". With that in mind, can I figure out the upper end of the salary for this position? If yes, is it an easy formula?

Technically no, but I don't think they're that sophisticated, so in practice probably yes. I'd guess from what you said that they're just looking at the salary range as a uniform distribution, which means that you can expect their top salary to be as far above the midpoint as the starting salary is below it. (And the 75th% to likewise mirror the 25th%.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry your foster kitty is going downhill, smonster. But I'm glad you and your roommate are there to help ease the transition. Poor thing.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

erin_o, how about melting a package or two of chocolate chips into it and calling it fudge?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

somewhere between 10 and 5 the kitty ate somefood on his own. Oddly, for a cat that does not eat wet food - he has been having tuna shake over wet food. no crunchy food

he has been sneezing , so I added an antihistimine to his drugs this morning. and he fought the drugs hard this morning.

Now I get to call the vet and be 'disappointed'.

Oh Beth, I am sorry about Andy but I am grateful that he has such good people taking care of him and loving him. And Smonster and her (but not hers) foster kitty....sigh...wish I had a magic cure.
