Book: Where's the doctor? Not back yet? Zoe: (beat) We don't make him hurry for the little stuff. He'll be along. Book: He could hurry... a little.

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hey it's Mardi Gras. Laissez les bon temps roulet!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Food labels are just ridiculous. I just bought a bag of potato chips, and it has a "Smart Snacking" logo on it because it has no trans fat, no cholesterol, and is a good source of Vitamin C.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Now I'm imagining sailors centuries ago avoiding scurvy by eating potato chips.

I got four more pages written and two more applications out today. I also actually saw my advisor, for about three seconds. He said he could meet with me "sometime Thursday." I'm skeptical.

Oy. I must step away from stupid arguments.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am being driven mad by a small dog who cannot bear the notion that the dogs next door could be having fun without him.

Yay for the Historic Green grant! Also, plenty of "it's nothing" to Jessica.

Why does my left ear keep going numb? It is very weird.

Ooooh. But no, I am being strong and saving my spending money for possible thrift shopping over the weekend.

Hey guess what? That interview I had yesterday? The manager offered me the job before we were done, and asked me to remind her who my recruiter was so she could call right away and get my paperwork started. I start work on Monday!

I'm going to point and nod at what Ginger said.

Random question for people who know more than I do about religions other than Judaism and Christianity: Are there any debates or writings or anything dealing with conflict between faith and reason or rationality? I can find a ton of stuff looking at that question in a Christian context, a few Jewish ones (mostly medieval), and almost nothing for any other religion. Is it bad google terms on my part, or just that it's not usually framed that way outside a Christian context?
