Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

erin_o, I have been there and done that. In fact, I am being there and doing that right now. Keep breathing, focus on one thing at a time, take small breaks to stretch.

sj, you have some seriously sucky neighbors.

I finally got to sleep at 3:30, on the couch. Moved back to bed when roomie got up at 5. Overslept, 1.5 hrs late to work, and I'm pretty sure that Foster Kitty peed in my closet this morning but I didn't have time to confirm and clean.

Seriously, Monday? Go fuck yourself.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Smonster, yes we do. That's apparently what we get for trying to move to a quiet neighborhood.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

This weekend I am going to start a MAJOR culling of stuff from our house. It's all going into labeled boxes and into the basement for a HUNORMOUS yard/garage sale come springtime. First up - the master closet and kitchen. I don't need FOUR SETS of dishes. I really don't.

And I am also making the menu and shopping list for my next Once a Month Cooking day on March 7th.

OMG, Historic Green is up by about 40 votes right now. This is killing me. Screw you, Homeowner’s Guide: 8 Simple Steps for Combating Climate Change with a Permaculture Garden in Boulder Colorado!

Part of my work day today was buying 1/2 off Valentine's Candy and other snacks for an employee recognition event tomorrow (I'm the committee chair). That killed an hour quite nicely.

TJ's butter chicken for lunch, nom nom nom.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am also thinking about a garage sale this spring, and a cleaning of the basement.

Erin, I find that kicking things (while wearing appropo footgear) is therapeutic. I have also beat my couch -- hard! sternly! -- with a pillow whilst screaming FUCK YOU ALL MOTHERFUCKERS at the top of my lungs. And then I stomp everywhere in the house and mutter and glare, and after about a 1/2 hour of all this, I find myself ridiculous, and am balanced again.

ION, everyone's meditation style is different.

Today: Look ing at airline prices for Spring Break visit for the kiddo, looking at summer camp prices, going out for belated (due to -- what else? SNOW) dinner, and working on my class that starts Wednesday.

Am home. Lunch (left over Thai) is being applied as had some headache meds. Nap is next on the schedule.

Looks like CJ is flying out to CA for his Spring Break, courtesy of my dad. I had tried to get him to come out to CO during that time, but that didn't work out. CJ will be out there for Persian New Year and comes home the day before K-Bug's birthday.

Directly to the forehead?

Also, listening to the angry music of your choice can help. Suggestions: Tool, NIN, My Chem, etc.

Quiet in here today.

Historic Green is 100 votes up! A couple friends from lj just posted it and they have pretty big friendslists, so I'm hoping that helps.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I voted, smonster! You all were handily in the lead at the time.

I should not be wanting to go back to bed. A three-day weekend, and I've done almost nothing but sleep. I'm feeling better today, but I still want to sleep some more. I did accomplish one thing today - got a couple languishing bills paid and set up on automatic bill pay, and I went through a years' worth of spending on credit and debit cards and made a list of things I could change or get rid of to save money. Wanna know how it turned out? I'll save $1150 per year just by getting rid of monthly expenditures on things I don't need or want anymore (like, I don't need the eFax service anymore). I'll save $1302.72/year by dropping sattelite tv and not getting cable. And once I sell my old Chevy, my auto insurance will go down by $600/year. That's about $3050/year! I was shocked that I could save that much just by making some adjustments. And I don't have to give up my regular charitable contributions - heck, I can increase them now - nor do I have to deprive myself spend less at Amazon (because what's really important, right?). Man.
