nom nom nom
...amusingly, I discovered this week (courtesy of a lesbian mate) while gleefully muttering "nom nom nom!" as my dinner arrived, that "nom" is Thai for "tit".
Oh, again, dear.

::collapsing in laughter::
I need to find a thai restaurant. Apparently I have indeed been doing it wrong. Hey! This is why I don't have a husband! Lack of post-coitus pad thai!
I'm a native San Franciscan & moved to the East Bay six years ago, now live in El Cerrito.
Oh! Yes, I was just looking at the map yesterday and wondering, "Who's this Fern Armstrong?" I'm in Oakland. I had no idea El Cerrito was so interesting.
I think that was where Sparky suggested I move when I came out looking at apts. Did she live there? I can't remember.
I have been to El Cerrito solely for bellydancing purposes, but the studio has now moved.
Sparky lived in Berkeley, I don't know if she ever lived in EC.
Gah, *really* want Thai food now. The rest of the trifecta, NSM.
Emmett's middle school sits right on the boundary between Albany and El Cerrito (Down Home Records! Creedence! Porn Thai!) The BART station I most frequently use is El Cerrito Plaza.

Huh. Friends of mine used to live in El Cerrito, so we'd use this BART station when we'd visit.
They rented a house, and had a pool!

I never lived in EC, because I had a rent controlled apartment in Berkeley in the Gourmet Ghetto (that I still mourn the loss of to this day).
Okay pools are not the norm here lest anyone one get the impression EC is fancy. We're not.
I went to elementary school with Suhaila Salimpour, the belly dancer. In grade six she did a sword dance for the class. I still remember it today.
It's very cozy talking about my home town, but probably in the interest of more new lurkers I should stop.
I wasn't expecting to like EC so much when I moved up here. Porn, Thai food, and no tell motel, not bad in any order. JZ, I attended Mission, class of '77, although I went to Mac one year for summer school. Actually, we were at the old Poly High site while I was in high school, as Mission was being retrofitted. It was sooo much fun, walking around outside through wood plank walkways, and hoping that a major earthquake wouldn't hit for three years.
I've never heard of "I Know Where I'm Going," will have to check it out. I also like another of Forsythe's movies, "That Sinking Feeling," which seriously needs to come out on DVD.
