Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Buffistas hung out with my mom and stepdad in a whole other state, while I was back home in Ohio! My mom and stepdad were in Vermont on vacation, and megan walker and Trudy were also in Vermont, and they all planned to meet up at my brother's restaurant (Trudy had met my mom when she previously visited Cincinnati, so it wasn't a totally out-of-the-blue thing).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Because it's the Buffistas, I knew it wouldn't be long before someone mentioned the other way.

And risk pregnancy ?

Whoo!! Look at the size of Vortex's Oxford comma!

almost as big as my busoms.

All part of my elaborate white slavery axe murder plan. Just FYI.

Well, I didn't know I was dyslexic until really late.

Skipping a couple dozen to claim Seska as my sistah! When I was a kid, there was a different technical term for it...'stupid.'

No joke, it wasn't until Cher started talking about dyslexia that anybody put 2 and 3 together to look into what caused my slow reading, mixing up letters, leaving out portions of sentences, etc.

One college professor, bless him, used to drop my bluebooks, ungraded, on my desk with a time when I was required to verbally tell him what I knew.

Most other instructors just shook their heads and tsked, "How can someone so smart be so..."

In a way, I'm glad. I'm not sure I would have taken to the accommodations my faux son uses now. Plus, I work really hard to figure things out.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So says Miss "Gave up everything to bring Rock and Roll to the Needy".

Hah!

I usually just say "my friends" when sourcing some piece of arcane knowledge I've gleaned from here. The SO knows when I preface with "My Friend So&So" that I mean someone from the boards that he may have never heard of.

But at this point, he does know about lots of you. And I always show him Noah & Grace videos. He's much with the Noah & Grace love, as is right and proper.

And he's a geek too, with his own invisible friends, so it's not an issue with him.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Copped form others:

Cilantro: Needs more research

Olives: Oh indeed, all kinds.

Double-space after a period: Not as much as I used to. I'm getting better.

Muffaletta: Even more research

Semi colons, as well as serial commas, are as common as my horrid habit of comma splice errors.

My comma splice errors make editors, and English teachers, cry.

Poor lurkers. Now we are back to being all gang of 14

There is something I've been wondering about. Ever since the properties function was revealed to show registration order, I've been fascinated the numbers.

Most of the usual suspects are in the 200s and lower. But I'm 1212 (shout out to d who may have signed on, on or about, the same day). Where are the 300 to Elevenses?

Not for nuthin', here is my personal welcome...I want to hear from you!!

eta: ooooh, weird. I just realized that 1212 was my number when I did the AIDSRide in '97. Huh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

the recent loss of my father (the love that poured through the interwebs was palpable and helped more than you all will ever know).

I know it too. It is amazing, surprising, and humbling.

I'm known for my quick wit (by me at least), my fearsome temper if you have wronged me or someone I love, my spoiler nazi tendencies, my impeccable taste in food and drink (especially drink), and last, but not least, my prodigious boobage (see tagline).

Also, incredible beauty, gracious warmth, and elegant, rapier-precise mastery of profanity.

1. cilantro-no 2. olives-oh yes please (There's this thing, with the calamatta olives and Greek olives and stuffed green olives and grape tomatoes and fresh mozzarella in olive oil with basil and marjoram and black pepper--num to die for) 3. muffaletta- can I get one without tomatoes, peppers and without bread? 4. serial comma-yes 5. two spaces-trying to break the habit

Dana! The only person currently posting who is more previous than I!

I spent time constructing this, you betcha I'ma post it now.

I have been hosted by Ginger, along with Sail, Askye, and KatieBee. I've been hosted by Anne, along with Aims, MM, Sean, and ND. I've been hosted by Deb, along with Nilly and Ginger. And I've been hosted by Perkins, along with Sail and Nicole, and by KatieBee along with Ginger. I've shared quarters with Ginger, KatieBee, and DebetEsse, Anne, Ginger, and Fay, Perkins and Cass, and Cass again while Amy and Ailleann-adjacent. I've visited Deena, the Zmayhem plus Emmett, pre-Matilda, Jilli and Pete, Plei, -t, and Perkins. I've hosted Sail, and spent a lovely couple of evenings with Vortex. I've had dinner with Raq, javachik, her cousin Buffy, Vortex, Fay, Parker, Deb, erika, and Ginger. I've spent hours in a car with Bicyclops, his spouse, and Ginger, and time in Perkins'car with Sail and Nicole, and in KatieBee's van with an assortment of Buffistas. I've ridden with beth's DH, or Matt, in his small car-turned museum van with Parker, Theo, Sail and Amy. Teppy's driving saved my life once, trufax, along with sj's and Nicole's, and her brazen salt-soliciting enabled me to stave off a raging sore throat, for which I will ever be grateful. I've hung out on Deb's steps with KarlH, SuziQ, Consuela, Java Cat, and Sparky and DH. I watched vids during prom with Suela and Deena and--whoever else was there in the dark. I've visited flea and Mr. flea, with Stephanie and Ellie, amych, Dana and DH, amyth and smonster in attendance. I've visited Calli, with amych, amyth, smonster, the flea family, and darth in attendance. I've been to half the F2Fs so far, plus a couple of mini-F2Fs and Nillyfest, and have met manymany Buffistas at one or another.'S not enough, though, I haven't met everybody. Want more.

SA, you and Billytea were both at the DC F2F--surely there was meetage of some description.

We have an orange stripey boycat named Punkin who thinks he's a lion of the Serengheti, and a black-on-brown mackerel tabby former feral boycat who lost a leg to trauma and is neurotic and afraid of everyone. They will be staying with StY as my DH and I relocate to PNW, north of Seattle (you know you want to come too!) There are no plans to acquire felines at the new address at the present.

I...seem to have come to the end. ::hits 'post'::
