So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Wait, so y'all are mostly more recent immigrants than me, but I still get the "do you ever think about going home" questions? Uh, no, asshole, unless you mean to northern Ohio, then yes, all the time.

Stupid racists.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Me too! There should be a version of Tinder for this.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

They could call it Kilter.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, look, there's an "off kilter" joke just sitting here in front of me.

I would totes join "kilter" if it was for queer ladies too! Scottish accents are hot.

Hi. Long time lurker just getting in before the thread closes!

This past year I've moved from South Boston to the South Shore. The commute is awful but having 4 acres for my German Shepherd is worth it. I've also had my parents move in, which was well timed since my mother fell and broke her hip about a month after moving in. (She has severe osteoporosis). It has been so much better to be right here to help rather than worry from afar as they used to be in the Detroit area. And she's doing really well now so we are quite lucky that it hasn't lead to an overall decline in her health.

My parents also brought their 2 cats and have just gotten a puppy (arranged before the broken hip). Add in my 4 cats and the German Shepherd and we are way past crazy cat lady and into zoo territory. They all seem to be getting used to each other without too much drama, helped by the fact my parents' cat seem to prefer living my parents' bedroom.

I still work in Boston (see awful commute) - in fact, from lurking I'm pretty sure I'm in the same building as Jesse though definitely not at the same company.

Even though I'm just a lurker, I want to say thanks for such a great community and thanks for letting me be a very quiet part of it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hi Maggie! Small world! Although it is a very big building.... See you in the line at Sweetgreen?
