Buying a big multi-unit with a bunch of friends in a walkable pleasant small city is really not just a pipe dream, it's doable if enough people can pool enough money. And if everyone agrees on where to live
Eldergoth Retirement Home plans. The trick is all of us having the money to pool.
Nice to see you, Bridget!
I would love a co-housing thing. Now, even, to be quite honest.
We could start seed money for the Buffista Retirement home right now. Because I'm in.
Hi Bridget, it is good to hear that the move to Sacramento is working out so well.
Co-housing makes sense on so many levels. I'm open to more than one geographical area, but kinda prefer the Keys.

God, imagine the library (of all types of media)!
The library would RULE.
Hey, Laura, you're okay down there? I saw Palm Beach got hammered yesterday.
Hi Bridget! I'm glad Sacramento is working out. I'ts good to see you!
I saw Palm Beach got hammered yesterday.
We did! Mostly just a bunch of rain, and more today and tomorrow too. Sloppy tropical stuff. Since I just got back from upstate NY I have to say that rain when it is 80 out is much more tolerable than when it is 40.
Meanwhile coastal warnings and the surfers are having a blast.
Oh I can see that library clearly. The home theater wouldn't be half bad either.
It doesn't even have to be an island!
I love our little house and I love PNW. I even like the neighborhood where we live. But I want someplace that has more walkable destinations, and something more communal, with a wider diversity of background and ages. I wouldn't mind cohousing, if there are also personal private spaces. H would hatehatehate it, though. And...spousal wishes do have their weight, too. Darn it.

I am so very down with this plan. Also with communal living, cause I sure could use a hand with these wild boys on occasion!
