ND, it is very pretty around here right now - leaves are turning nicely and we've got some nice sunny days happening. It still seems too early to be dark at 7:00 p.m., though.

I have never been to Texas, which is a shame. Actually there's a lot of the US I haven't been to before. I have been to Buffalo, for like 18 hours, Boston for a week, and bits of New York state for cross-border shopping, mostly.

As someone who recently lived in TX for 2 years, I can say without hesitation, they got AWESOME bbq!
I guess I should update since last delurker thread. About 5 months ago, I left TX, where I was for 2 years, to move back to Southern California, where I now work for one of the UC's. Just when I thought I was out of CA, they puuullll me back in! It's great to be back with so many friends (many who are Buffistas!). Sad to leave Daisy Jane and her fab hubby Jon, tons of non-buffista cool folk, and all the good music and food in TX. And rather strange to be back. With all my movings around for jobs, I never went back anywhere. Seems like I'm cheating some other area by moving back. But hey, with this weather (well, not todays), I sure am not going to complain!
