I thought of you when they closed, 33 Revolutions, ehab. Sorry it's been such a tough year with the house fix-up.

I thought of you when they closed, 33 Revolutions, ehab. Sorry it's been such a tough year with the house fix-up.
Glad to hear you've got a new job, ehab! Great to hear from you.
Hello, ehab! Monkey looks like a wonderful kitty! I hope they find the reason for the itching and make it stop - it's horrible to be itchy.
ehab, we're very happy to have you in SPN thread. And I don't know who's playing with Monkey (who is indeed adorable) in that video, but Sara had the same sundress this summer!
Welcome, welcome. Glad you're here.
ehab, could Monkey's problem be nerves rather than allergies? Was he like this before the fire? Maybe he as kitty PTSD?
Okay, I wasn't going to go there, but.... One type of allergy that makes kitties very itchy, though you wouldn't expect it, is food allergies. Has Monkey been on a novel protein trial? Feel free to ignore this, if you do not feel like talking about it, ehab. But if you do, I've been there. I've got a cat with food allergies and... oh joy, FLUTD.
No I welcome suggestions as little Monkey has everyone stumped.
He's been on a special limited protein diet (duck & pea) since I've had him. We've talked about trying a venison version but so far we haven't changed it.
It's not PTSD though I had hoped he do better in a peaceful environment. He's been biopsied and his skin is full of histamines which is a clear indicator of allergies.
He's had one blood allergy test and is about to get a Heska blood test as the dermatologist thinks the company gets better results. The dermatologist doesn't believe skin testing works well for cats.
He's also got a low thyroid to the point where it doesn't appear functioning so he gets thyroid medicine. This is practically unheard of in cats. It's so unusual none of the vets believe the lab results, but they've been done multiple times.
Also, I hope this thread is quiet because it's the weekend and more de-lurkers will put in an appearance next week.
I really enjoyed reading updates from the infrequent posters and lurkers last year. It turned into a kind of group holiday letter to distant relatives.
::waves to ehab:: Yay SPN people!
If it gives the lurkers any inspiration, I'm going to be flying tomorrow and with wireless (cross your fingers) would really enjoy reading your notes. It might be the only thing that keeps me in the air.
No pressure though.

(Also, you're going to be fine. Promise. And think where you'll be when you land!)
