Not cereal, but PBR.
I find it comforting that, if I should have to move across the country for some reason, I could post in "Press," and have Buffistas in a 100+ mile radius, offering meet me, show me around, etc. It's good to know.

Hi, Kiba! Hi, Fern!
P-C, I don't know if you've read it
Oh, I've read it. Quentin Compson is my homeboy.
billytea, I'd like to see the pet carbon footprint study. Do you have a link? While I once felt virtuous about reusing my neighbor's newspaper bags for pick-up, I was struck my Phillipe Cousteau's quote stating that every single piece of plastic ever manufactured, in the history of petrochemicals, still exists. I'd love to find a better option.
Here's one news item about it: [link] The people who did the work on this are a couple of New Zealanders; apparently their work was published in New Scientist. (I suspect it's quite contentious, especially since they entitled their book "Time to Eat the Dog".)
Kiba Rika!
That is all.

Faulkner is my favorite writer. He's always an inspiration.

Quite possibly my favorite of all the awesome things you've ever said.
Last day of this thread. I read every single post! Delurking thread - brilliant idea. I look forward to doing it again next year.
Joe! Beautiful baby. World domination efforts continue.
Kiba! Corwood! Fern! Yay for making it to the thread before it closes.
It has been delightful to see the delurkers and rare posters. I've particularly enjoyed finding out new things about the posters I know so well. The thread caused me to skip more in Natter and Bitches, but it was worth it.
This is an incredible community and I appreciate all of you.
I'll be sad to see this thread close, it was so great to read people's bios, see rare old-timers, and meet some lurkers. Hope to see the latter two in other threads from now on.

When I moved here, my boss was a bit concerned about me meeting new people. After a few weeks (a few weeks where there were some other visiting Buffistas and, thus, a number of Buffista brunches) and being hosted or taken around the city by Deb, juliana, and JZ/Hec, my boss decided not to worry because I seemed to have more friends than she did.
Just one of the many reasons why I love the Buffistas!
I guess this is the last day for the thread so I'd better post something before I get behind on the thread reading again.
I'm CaBil, real name is Bill, the online name comes from a battle over typing the high score in a Tetris game Tetris between my then GF now wife. I've been around since the WX days, though in the last couple of years I've become more lurky than active.
I ended my apparently neverending battle to get my Masters in PoliSci a few years ago and write some stuff for gaming and comic stuff though like everyone else to economy has shrunk the number of jobs that I get.
Anything else I should add?
