I. LOVE. THIS. THREAD. Ahem.

Hi y'all! I haven't been around much for a few (or possibly seven) months, so I figured this was the perfect place to post. And just before closing time, too. Phew!

Present: I'm Nicole and I live in Colorado with my boyfriend and our three cats. I work in the beer business and recently started two new roles at so I've been consumed with training and acting like I know what I'm doing when I'm really just winging it. Also, we just moved into a new place so things are fairly crazy right now.

History: I didn't even know about the greatness of Joss or Buffy or the existence of Buffistas until right around the 5th season of BtVS. I lurked and posted a small bit for a while before finally jumping into the deep end and attending the LA F2F. I have no clue what year that even was but it was quite a while ago. Man, the time has gone by fast, but I've made some truly amazing friends here. I don't say it enough but this is just such a great community of people.

Very near future: M and I are getting married on Halloween (2 days away! SATURDAY!), so that has definitely added to the crazy busy. And between the bachelorette dinner on Friday, wedding on Saturday and housewarming / reception on Sunday, now seemed like the Actually Finish Typing Something And Hit Post deadline. I think I might accomplish it this time...

While I don't get to hang out here as much as I want, I do hope the lurkers wade into the deeper waters over in Bitches or Natter so that we can get to know you better. You never know what could happen. You might make a new best friend, meet a one day future roomie or neighbor, or even a DW or DH... The only guarantee is that you'll definitely laugh and learn new things and sometimes it's a little more fun when you're part of the conversation.

I may give up on the notion on catching up in this thread in order to post something before the month is up (why yes, I skipped right now straight to Nicole's lovely post, because I wanted to make sure people are still delurkifying themselves, how did you guess?). But on a different post - this one is for being happy for Nicole.

Anyway ... I'm Toddson, Todd in real life. I think I'm the only Todd on the board; definitely the only female one. I live in DC and work for an association in the design and construction industry (one unadvertised perk - I can use the word "erection" and no one blinks). um ... single, no pets, obviously fond of the ellipses, unobviously fond of the serial comma (although I can't use it when I write for our monthly journal). Love olives or, honestly, anything salty (including the conversation around here), loathe cilantro. I've been on the board since 2003; I joined just about the time planning for the 2004 F2F was going on and everyone came to ME!

Todd, you forgot "made of awesome".

Toddson is definitely made of awesome, as are Nilly and Nicole. Yay, for your Hallowe'en wedding, Nicole!
