Herding cats for fun

Dangital, I hit some unwanted key combo and my post disappeared before I could finish creating its perfect composition…

(Goes to Word so I can hit Undo as many times as I need to…) Katerina will be right back, after a short typing break. And taking out the trash. And making dinner. Mmm, pesto pizza with fresh garden tomatoes.

(Laughs, cries, hugs back) Siiiiiiiigh. That was nice. You guys are all made of awesome.

I am a terrible typist on a laptop anymore, even when I am not having the feeling of wearing a tingling electric glove on my right arm. Apparently I have an injury to my shoulder caused by pulling. This sucks, because I’m pretty sure I did myself in during a short workout with the pride of my equipment collection, my Ashford Drum Carder. If you are going to comb a lot of fiber, well. This is the Thing To Have. If only I had a Crafting Minion who would turn the handle for me instead of a pack of disobedient cats, then I’d get some felting done around here.

What I Was Going To Post: Why I Love The Buffistas: They say stuff like: We consider anyone smrt enough to be a Buffista to be of the age of reason. This kind of thing. Yes, this exactly. All that smart and snark. So addictive. People who had so many interesting things to say about The Obsession Of My Tuesday Nights, otherwise known as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (should that be TOOMTNokaBtVs?) Plus they all knew so much about so many things, it seemed I could wander the board forever, all lost in the forest, and not ever be able to Read It All.

Anyway. I’m so pleased to see all you good people. I’ve really missed you.

Anybody who wants to come to Hayward to behold the glories of a suburban Halloween evening will be sent home with tomatoes, no exceptions. If you are lucky, you will be carrying them in a paper bag and not wearing them on yer fool head.

So I’ll come back soon. Blue hair occurs tomorrow, so y’all will have to wait till the weekend for your pictures. XO XO XO XO XO !!!

...coomes back, distrtiubtes many biug hugs, poooof!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

There have been teens from time to time

Holli! And the adorable Rebecca Lizard! Who was, God, what, fifteen? I mean, she's STILL appallingly young, and she was posting in Bitches (and, er, hosting my fanfic on her website) when she was a wee slip of a thing. With a brain the size of the Caribbean. I remember being shocked when she came over all straight(ish) at University - but evidently she got over her experimental phase, and is back to being All About The Girls.

Aww. Good times, good times!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Holli was 13 when she started posting.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

She would periodically excuse herself when things got too raunchy.

OMG THE HOORORRRRSSSSS WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDRU.... Wait? What? She used good decision making skills instead of being bound by draconian rules? Huh.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hey, I still do that. And usually come back to post some fun fact about criminals or decomp, but it sounded high-minded for a second, right?

Anything for a weird life.

Where at, Thomas? That's where I grew up (and ran far, far away from...)

Grew up in Miami Shores, a tiny subsection of North Miami Beach. My family residence for the last decade has been in Hollywood, and I'm currently at college in Jupiter.

I'm sloooowly working my way north, apparently.

also, this is the first time I intentionally use quick-edit tags, so we'll see how they work.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I guess it's worth noting here that I grew up in Dade County.

So you are not alone in your childhood memories of: puddles filled with polliwogs; little lizards everywhere; using coral for sidewalk chalk.

Our wings are not tired.

Dude! I'm at the mid point. As you pass Delray Beach look east at Lake Ida and wave. Or stop and grab lunch with me some time.

“Not dead yet!”

Ha! I grew up in North Miami. My mom still lives there in the house I grew up in, right across the street from Gratigny Elementary on North Miami Ave. My sister also lives in NM. And the world, she continues to get smaller...

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Katie Bee!!!!!!!! So good to see your pixels. You have been missed. And, pictures of Zombie Marge are a must.
