Always Anti-fascist!

I'm just saying, I noticed...that's all. There's no porn or anything.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm only 20 years old yet

A Buffista who's younger than me? Welcome!

(I've been wondering about it, thinking I might be the youngest here. I'm 24 years old.)

stick to slashing people who want to be slashed, hey?

Oh, and after I've been slashed in Bitches, I have to say: try it. You might just like it. And laugh like there's no tomorrow.

Anything for a weird life.

Ah, so we figure out why you don't endorse underage shenanigans: none of y'all* are underage anymore.

Amazing how that changes one's view on things.

  • Disclaimer: not usually part of my lexicon, it just seemed like the appropriate syntax for the sentence. I live in the Miami area, which is apparently so far South that it's separate from it again.

EDIT: didn't know that that would turn into a bullet point, it's supposed to be a footnote. oh well.

Always Anti-fascist!

I use it kind of a lot, because of "The Wire" and phrases like "Fuck *all* y'all," which, despite my using it after the slash conversation, is more like the internet flounce-off(AKA Goodbye Cruel World) than an invite to an orgy. I'm okay with underaged people carrying on, but I can't see myself as Mrs. Robinson since underaged people didn't want me when I was one.Maybe "chronically pissed off" could look like worldly from the little end of the telescope, though, you never know. Although I doubt it.(/faux Eeyore)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

ThomasW, if you toss   in front of the * it should display properly.

Or you can be lazy/html-ignorant like me and just put a space in front.

ThomasW, I'm in NC so I didn't give your y'all a second glance. OTOH,

I live in the Miami area, which is apparently so far South that it's separate from it again.

So I've heard.

Herding cats for fun

My name is Katie. I live in Hayward, California with my DH and five fabulous cats. I became a housewife when I couldn’t replace my last administrative assistant job. I like to spend my time on nontechnological pursuits: reading, raising 24 varieties of tomato plants, and making felt stuff, beaded necklaces and enough other crap to keep my home filled to the gills with projects, supplies and books.

I started out as a lurker way, way back in the TableTalk at Salon days when I had a horribly boring series of temp receptionist jobs and a burning need to read what other fanpeople had to say about BtVS. Finding the Buffistas was like winning the super entertainment lottery, because everybody could spell and nobody used asscaps all the time. This was back when there was only the one discussion thread, which bore the disclaimer that “thread speed may exceed local tolerances.” There were so many posts that I absolutely could never catch up. One memorable day, I actually reached the end of the thread – but only just before quitting time. Too bad I couldn’t think of anything to say, a condition that is often with me. Back when I had a job, I used to post in Literary and Bitches mostly, plus occasional visits to the writer’s thread.

Special thanks to Javacat, who has been acting as my contact to the Buffista-verse. She called and told me about the lurker thread – and then made sure that I knew about the October 31 deadline to post.

Every visit to the board brings a smile to my face, so I’m glad I stopped by. If only I could catch up on entering my library over at Library Thing, I might be able to stick around and chat some day…

Oh, and speaking of Halloween? I’ve got long gray hair, so when I dye it blue and put it up into a beehive, my Zombie Marge Simpson costume will be quite the thing for schmoozing with my neighbors and handing out candy this Saturday night. I can’t believe that I’ve been thinking about this for years and finally got the courage to put color on my virgin hair - and suddenly I’ve got a topical humor costume, because Marge Simpson is now a Playboy model. Hee. I wonder if I should sign autographs?
