We few, we happy few, we band of buggers
For he to-day that shares his name with me
Shall be a bugger;
oh my word that is so brilliant.
What delights and terrifies me, though, is that I cannot for the life of me recall what the original was for "buggers", and I'll never remember it right again. Which is, you know, fine, since the occasion doesn't arise very often to quote it. But I'm pretty sure if the occasion does arise...this is how I'll quote it.

ETA: brothers, for crying out loud. I knew that.
slinking away embarassed-like.
Band of brothers. (But Spike's "we band of buggered" may be better even than the original, given the context.)

ETA: That belongs on a sampler. I may start cross-stitching again.
Fay, you're a miracle worker, baby. Hi, Sophie... Hi, Helena. Nice to meet y'all. I used to not understand the long lurk, but it took me five years to delurk on dkos myself. Because they talk too much and have in-jokes I didn't understand. Isn't that a black fly in my chardonnay?
Hello, Sophie and Hellena and -t (is the dash silent or voiced, Daniel and I have argued calmly asserted differing opinions on the topic).
Oh, Fay, that was beautiful. Surely the Bard himself would delurk for that, if only he could.
I don't pronounce the dash. I don't mind if anyone else does, but I'm curious as to how one would.
That was wondrous, Fay.
Sophie Max! Hi! Happy late Turkey Day!
I'm curious as to how one would.
"Dash Tee"
Oooh, right. Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians.
