I am SHOCKED that NF is not out here visiting me prior to the Emmys. He could have helped with the new TiVO set up. What a slacker imaginary boyfriend.
I just use other windows that do not hold the A/Cs (there at least one free window in each room) to open when it is nice weather for such things.
Skimming and skipping like a skimmy skippy thing. I have some funny stories from my DC trip.
On the plane out, the captain announced "there will be short delay for maintenance". Being the smartass I am, I commented to my seatmate, "don't worry they just have to replace the duct tape". Not 30 seconds later, up comes the maintenance crew member in his orange vest with the biggest roll of duct tape I've ever seen in my life, at least a foot and a half wide. Must have been airline grade duct tape.
My flight back was late, and I had to change planes in Phoenix. Like a fool I went straight to the gate on my ticket without checking the screen for gate changes, and barely made it to the last gate at one extreme end of the airport. Naturally there was a gate change and I had to run back to far opposite end of the airport dragging my luggage. Quite a little exercise. Only...
For various reasons I turn beet red when I work out. No high blood pressure, nothing like that - a side effect of a skin condition. And, having run for about 15 minutes carrying luggage I was sweating copiously. So when I barely made it just before boarding closed and was seated, the flight attendant rushed up with a crew members personal bottle of water, and turn up the vent on full. And because I was right near first class I could not help overhearing the captain say "take care of this guy. If he dies on our shift it will be a real pain in the ass."
Oh dear, Typo. I hope you started laughing really LOUD. Or something.
Finished a very nice couple of laps around the lake. It's gorgeous out, and the view is just fantastic. As is the view from the end of my street: overlooks the old stadium site and then you can see all the way to downtown. And I'm off to see it now, as I head over to the pool.
Happy Birthday Sue.
mac and I did a fair amount of walking today too, long walk in the big park of Queens. It is such an underused park compared to the other big ones in the city, we really should visit it more often.
As a skipskimmer, Happy Birthday Sue. And Happy Belated Birthday to everone I missed.
OK, I sent off one more resume and put in laundry. It's something, at least.
Man, I really want one of the jobs, but it would be an hour-long commute from the neighborhood I'm looking at. 25 minutes if I got a car. Not that I'll get the job!
I finally folded and sorted the enormous pile of too big clothes that accumulated over the past few months. I've got a shopping bag each of 12s and 16s and two of 14s. That's not counting all the stuff that was showing signs of wear and got tossed. Now to figure out what to do with them all.
whoohoo brenda!
I'm planning a clothing exchange to get rid of my 14-16s now that I'm on my way to my old 8s.
I've lost 10 inches altogether so far!
Ha, tom, I know the dr doom guy. That was shot at my main neighborhood restaurant. Happy bdays lori and sue!
Aw, man, we get the fricking Emmys on tape delay? Stupid PST.
