I'm on the phone with my sis, and it sounds like the house they're supposed to be signing for next week might fall through. Their bank, who had already approved their loan after they had paid for an appraiser to tell the bank how much it's worth, decided to do a "desk appraisal" without even looking at it, and told the bank it was worth 20% less. So, they're hoping that they can somehow convince the bank it is worth the amount they had agreed to.

Timelies all!
So sorry, Trudy
Yes, sara! That's a happy color.
Oh, Kathy, that sucks. Fingers crossed.
Should I paint the door to the deck bright blue?
Absolutely!
Trudy, I am so sorry. Hopefully this will lead to something wonderful with voicework and lost weight and puppies!
go blue, choose blue.
Yes on blue! It will make you happy every time you look at it.
I just don't want it to be too overwhelming for that tiny room. Plus, I have to strip or sand the door of the current paint, because they didn't prime or use the right paint-it peels. I'll start with the trim.
I'm sorry, Trudy! Glad you have a little bit of breathing room anyway.
sara, I don't think it'll be overwhelming if it's just the door. Starting with the trim is a fine idea anyway, because you'll be able to see the color in the room's light and everything.
We need to paint the patches of drywall repair we did. The house settled, was jacked, was patched, settled again. At some point we may still have it jacked again, but that should be it. And it really seems to have calmed down now, so hopefully it will stay put. And anyway, I want the patches painted so I can stop looking at them.
Blue! I like.
