I kissed him, and I told him that I loved him. And I killed him.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I don't think that would jinx me.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I feel like I jinxed you

I was thinking the same thing! I'm sorry, and good luck, Trudy.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Trudy just texted me and said that she was axed on good terms, and the HR Supervisor will give her a ref.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ack. Getting a reference is some small comfort, but that still sucks mightily.

Last time I lost a job I dropped twenty pounds. That could be nice.

Hell of a way to lose weight, though.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Our wings are not tired.

Damn. I was hoping the meeting was to tell her she was going to permanent.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sorry, Trudy -- that sucks.

I'm glad a friend of mine just called, because she's been going through some crazy shit and not returning emails. And I hate to make calls, so have been putting it off, which makes me feel like a bad friend. But now we have plans for tomorrow, so that's good.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Crappity. At least Suzi and Sunil had some good news to balance out the bad pet-ma and job-ma.

And I got seven more weeks until I start having to ask if fries are a desired complement to a luncheon....

I just got the wierdest soda -- diet green tea ginger ale. It's surprisingly good.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I tried the diet green tea ginger ale a couple of weeks ago when it was on half price somewhere, and I thought it was quite good, mainly because it was less sweet.
