This made me smile--from a regulation amendment to VA state code:
The amendment changes the birth certification form to permit the parents' designations to be "Name of Parent" for a child adopted by a same-sex couple rather than "Mother" and "Father."
It's the little things that matter.
Thank you for posting those, Shir. Nilly was absolutely glowing!
I'm just really proud at this one: [link]
Thank you, Shir! She looks so joyful.
Oh wow, thank you Shir! Those are fantastic.
This one's my favorite [link]
It's blurry, but I think that it makes Nilly look ethereal. and you were right about the constant Nilly smiles.
Happy Birthday, Perkins!
And now I need to grade, but I also need to look at pictures of Nilly's wedding. Ah, what a quandry.
Shir, thank you for posting pictures! They're lovely.
No other prejudices are still socially acceptable to have!
I don't know about that. I think that many many gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, and disabled people would disagree about that.
Fantastic pictures, Shir!

Yup. Similar recent development over here: where one of a lesbian couple has given birth through fertility treatment, they can now enter both mothers' names on the birth certificate. Which is also very cool.
