Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Half of what I get is abusive about my weight. It's really weird.

When I attempted Craigs List personals I had my ad get flagged and taken down as inappropriate content or somesuch. Poking around on the internets I discovered this is a phenomenon -- guys will flag "BBW" ads so they're taken down.

My understanding is that its an automatic threshhold X number of flags and bye-bye post -- so I'm not all too annoyed at Craigs List as an entity. My other understanding is that X is a substantial number and you can't sit there flagging a post over and over -- so I'm kind of queasy at the thought of dozens or hundreds of guys doing this on principle or for kicks or something.

This was the end of Trudy and Personal Ads.

....what is that color screen called that you used to see at the end of a broadcast day on tv??

By the way, it is still used, much to my surprise. I taped an hour of one just this week (when I was trying to tape Clean Sweep on TLC at 6am).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have gotten into the habit of folding my laundry fairly quickly, but then it stays in the laundry basket forever. I can't explain why.

Happy birthday, Perkins!

And because it deserves a separate post:

Happy Birthday, Perkins!

Happy Birthday, Phoenix!

The 50 best things to eat in the world, and where to eat them

I'd trust that list more if he knew the difference between a macaron and a macaroon.

Sadly, Ladurée is the only place on that list I've been.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I currently have three unfolded baskets of laundry just taunting me. I HATE the folding with a white-hot hate.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PERKINS!!!!

Wash-n-Fold, baybee, Wash-n-Fold!

My other Spoiled New Yorker Indulgence is that the roommies and I chip in for a housekeeper once a month. It's only $23 each and its amazing how well we keep it up if there is a base-level of clean.

Because books.

Wash-n-Fold, baybee, Wash-n-Fold!

Yes, this. When we lived in the city, we quickly learned this was the Best Thing Ever. And pretty cheap, at that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I agree in principle, but having been to Frank Pepe's, I can't argue with their conclusions.

Yeah, I haven't been there, so don't have an actual argument to make.

Cash is me. Down to the number of baskets currently taunting and the white-hot hate.
