I'm totally waiting for a personals ad saying she won't respond to replies with bad grammar or spelling... and the ad itself has a grammar or spelling mistake. Because then I'd reply just to point out the error.
But so far I haven't found an example of this. So it seems there is a high correlation between someone's dislike of writing mistakes of others and their own lack of mistakes. Oh well.
Not a common one at all, but I think I mentioned the fanfic where Eric got "eternal" bleeding.
Dude's going to need to drink a lot of fluids.
Maybe he could get a bottomless cup of coffee.
This sounds reasonable as long as it isn't a mechanism to avoid state regulation sort of like how all credit cards seem to come from Delaware.
There's no way it could function otherwise, not without imposing some pretty rigid federal standards. And gee, how well is that likely to play?
More conservatives attack Limbaugh's race-baiting:
Calling Out Race-Baiting
Dreher whacks Limbaugh; Goldblog whacks Drudge. Conor echoes. Dreher reveals the conscience of a real conservative:
Look, I think it's important to talk about black male violence, or at least as important as it is to talk about any other important social trend. I don't think we should be squeamish about discussing it in a responsible and fair-minded way, despite what the politically correct say. But good grief, Limbaugh is up to something wicked. He's plainly trying to rally white conservatives into thinking that now that we have a black president, blacks are rising up to attack white kids! Christ have mercy, what is wrong with these people?
I won't have anything to do with it, not even tangentially, which is why I took down the post. I can't see this as anything other than Limbaugh deliberately trying to whip up racial fear and loathing of the president. This goes far, far beyond tough criticism of Obama. Does that man Limbaugh have any idea what rough beast he's calling forth?
If you find some others on the right willing to stand up to this evil, let me know.
Please, please, please, can we have more conservatives calling out Limbaugh?
There's no way it could function otherwise, not without imposing some pretty rigid federal standards.
That's what I want to see to make that work, if you offer a nationwide plan you have to conform to federal regulations (what could be more constitutional? it's interstate commerce). Yeah, unrealistic though.
Does that man Limbaugh have any idea what rough beast he's calling forth?
The truly disgusting -- and criminal, IMO -- part of this is that I believe that Limbaugh knows EXACTLY what rough beast he's calling forth.
Good for Dreher. See, a person I can disagree with on most issues, but who is not going to attack me, or raise my hackles enough to want to attack him. (mostly) Respectful discourse.
- *note - that I do not read his stuff everyday, because no.
Another conservative attacks Limbaugh:
Why I Have Contempt for Rush Limbaugh
Already Mr. Limbaugh’s behavior is raising the ire of folks who already dislike him, but this transgression against honesty and prudence is so obvious and grave that his audience members should take it upon themselves to contact the talk radio host, politely articulate why his commentary in this instance is so irresponsible, and request that he never engage in such behavior again. It is Mr. Limbaugh’s listeners who have the most pull here. Those who say nothing, and continue tuning into this kind of rhetoric, share partial responsibility for worsening the country in which they live, though the bulk of responsibility will always reside with the millionaire race agitator himself.
they assured me that a letter from me was all they needed to start the process.
msbelle, I'm glad to hear that things are moving forward and I wish you luck in your moving decision. I think I missed the original event (that's ok - not asking for a retelling) but I've been lurking in natter enough recently to see the tough time you've been having.

I am Steph.
