Wesley: We were fighting on opposite sides, but it was the same war. Fred: but you hated her…didn't you? Wesley: It's not always about holding hands.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Let's play a game. Can you guess who said this after Palin was selected to be McCain's VP nominee?

...“She’s interesting,” he said again. “You know, just wait a few days until the bloom is off the rose.” Then he made a very smart assessment.

“This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for,” he said. “She hasn’t spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Let’s wait and see how she looks five days out.”

Answer: George W. Bush

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thank you, Shir. That was just the best description for Nilly's wedding. I could imagine it vividly.

Oh, and I'm sure Allyson's already done it, but just to be sure - can somebody who has the batphone to Tim make sure that he sees Shir's description of Nilly's wedding?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Just a reminder that my husband is six years younger than I.

Meh. I'm just having body issues with the younger/firmer set. He otherwise seems to be a kind, bright guy as well as I can tell by email.

Actually, most of the guys who contact me are in their late twenties. I think it's the whole cougar thing. I can't wrap my head around it.

And then there are the guys in their 50s, and I can't date a guy within a five year age range of my MOM. I just can't. It's too weird.

I told Tim about the wedding, but I'll see him Saturday and hope to be able to bring pics!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Got the first call to come pick Owen up from school today. He's got fever. Or as Olivia put it, "a beaver." Looks like he's home tomorrow, too.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

all things considered, that's a good reason for a call.

Coding and Sleeping

Poor Owen.

The kids here were home a lot last week on account of strep throat. Much fever going on.
