Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Some people on Facebook are talking about Kanye saying something that pissed them off (something...anti gay maybe?) just now. Anyone wanna clue me in?

I didn't catch anything anti gay that he said, though I wasn't totally paying attention, but at the VMAs, Taylor Swift won for best female video or something like that, and while she was trying to give her thank yous, Kanye jumped on the stage, grabbed the mic out of her hand, and started talking into it about how Beyonce should have won. Then when Beyonce won for video of the year, she said how great a moment it was the first time that she won one of these awards, and called Taylor up to the stage to finish her speech so that Taylor could have her moment, too.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Beyonce is class though. I loved the way she accepted her Best Video award.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wow! I think even less of Kanye now, but more of Beyonce.

Because books.

Oh, yeah. Beyonce was totally classy about it.

Apparently Kanye's performance was either cancelled, causing him to storm out, or he stormed out so they cancelled it. Either way, Muse got to play twice.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chalk another one up for poor impulse control on a big stage.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, help me out here. Earlier, Angry guy said some nasty things to Peter, calling in some nasty word (I forget what) for crazy. But he also said, "Your dog is dead!"

That was a threat, right?

Because books.

Yeah, Diddy got booed when he mentioned Kanye's name later, and Kanye's nomination for video of the year got booed, as well. No one seemed amused.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sara got cupcake earrings today! Which is cool when you're five. And even when you're not, really.

I'm just saying, I LOVE cupcake jewelry and I made cupcake hair clips for me, Grace and K! We each have a set.

Kanye is an ass.

Wow, that IS ass-tastic of Kanye!! Glad to hear at least Beyonce had class.

I just assumed it was anti-gay cause the only few people I saw say anything on FB were gays. :) But then, given how many of my friends are, that's not surprising.

Wilkerson: Cheney "Now Is Just Crazy"

Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, has concluded that former Vice President Dick Cheney is no longer in his right mind.

In an interview with Andy Worthingon of The Public Record, Wilkerson says: "I’ve come to the conclusion that the man truly is—whether he was that way when I knew him before, when he was Secretary of Defense, I don’t know, that’s not at issue with me any more—the man now is just crazy."

Wilkerson further refers to former BushCo factotum Alberto Gonsalves as "that idiot," and describes Cheney's principal War on Terra aide, David Addington, as "a strange person," known in "the uniformed military as 'Weird David,'" who was nonetheless allowed to serve as "both the Zawahiri and the bin Laden" of BushCo.

Wilkerson notes that although Cheney is now deranged, the media continues to enable him. "Our media loves to keep it going. They love to throw him out there and, you know, stoke the fires." And that Democratic leaders, terrified of being portrayed as "soft" on national security, have also capitulated to this man who is, in fact, mad.
