Xander: Look who's got a bad case of Dark Prince envy. Dracula: Leave us. Xander: No, we're not going to "Leabbb you." And where'd you get that accent, Sesame Street? "One, Two, Three - three victims! Maw ha ha!"

'Lessons'

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Holy shit.

And a hot damn.

Sounds like they're going to try and lower the boom on Serena--seems they've already fined her the tournament/tour max and are meeting to see if they can fine her more. Looks like she freaked the shit out of that linesperson.

Our wings are not tired.

Looks like she freaked the shit out of that linesperson.

I would have been intimidated.

As far as I could tell the initial call was a total non-call, and I can see Serena getting upset about it, but that in no way excuses verbal abuse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just found that I actually had it on tape, and that's exactly what McEnroe was saying. Also that Clijsters was clearly beating her, but who wants to win like that?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am really tired of the asshat that I have to work with today. For whatever reason, we're the only two at the theatre tonight (there should be three). First, he walks up to me and says "the chairs in my theatre are all screwed up." and I said "well, aren't you going to fix them?" He says "well, they're missing numbers and out of order and stuff. I'll just tell the ushers not to pay attention to the numbers and count"

Then he says "one of the ushers asked me what the dress code is. I said that I didn't know" (he's worked here for at least 6 months). Now, he's downstairs at the box office flirting with the girl who works here. so, if something happens that i have to deal with, the lobby is empty. Which is not really a big deal, but since we tend to have patrons wandering about who need direction (or to be told not to go into closed doors), it's a tiny issue.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So did anyone else catch the end of the Federer-Djokovic match? What a shot!

“Not dead yet!”

So we took the kids to 9 today. Definitely not light and fluffy, but we knew that going in and I think that allowed us to enjoy it immensely. As opposed to one of my friends who took her kids and they all hated it-- she called it tripe. I think she's nuts, but that's okay, we have wildly divergent tastes in movies as a general rule.

I think ultimately, the thing I enjoyed the most about it was the aftermath when, on the way home, we got into a pretty in-depth discussion with the kids about themes and meanings and symbolism.

Am I being a monumental egotist if I say I have some pretty freaking amazing kids? I really do love just talking to them.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I did, Burrell. Pretty awesome.
