I think they would be more cute if they were not photoshopped and the animals were actually dressed up in clothing (and possibly pushing a pram)
I think they should go all the way steampunk and feature animals in late Victorian period clothes with goggles and overwrought ray guns.

well, a lot of people are unemployed and have a more open schedule, your recruiter may not be used to dealing with people with jobs :)
