And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Much larger than modern eagles, Haast's eagle would have swooped to prey on flightless birds – and possibly even the rare unlucky human.

I was saved eaten by a giant eagle!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

JILLI! Back in the lab!

I bet you could put a little saddle on a Haast's eagle for Clovis to sit on....

hip deep in pie

There must have been something in the air, since I had a terrible night's sleep. But I am off today, so I can't complain.

I just got back from getting my hair cut and coloured. Great, but terrible tip anxiety. I bought product and then couldn't do the math...I think I undertipped.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So we'll just have to make do with Haast's eagles for a while....

JILLI! Back in the lab!

billytea's closer to the source. Plus it's right up his alley.

However, he might try to crossbreed something else into it. Echidna, perhaps?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

It's been speculated that the Taung Child (australopithecus africanus skull discovered by Raymond Dart in the 1920s) had been scooped up by a big predatory bird for dinner.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sue, I got my hair cut yesterday. Didn't color it - I've let it grow back to its natural color and it isn't too bad. She did straighten it, making it all smooth and sleek looking. Not bad, but not something I could do on my own.

Not one person at work has said a thing. So either no one pays attention to me or it looks really bad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On behalf of people like me, I would like to apologize for not noticing your new hair! I will, eventually, probably...

Except for the front desk guy at my office building -- I'm excited that I figured out he probably stopped dying his hair, rather than just going grey in a week.
