Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And a rehearsal video where a guy in full Alien costume is dancing:

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

Yay dancing alien! Totally helped me recover my mood; last night I was kept awake from 3am on with a stomach thing (I suspect a sideswipe of food poisoning; had it before, this felt VERY familiar) so today has been low-key, sore, and unhappy.

Dancing alien helped. Yay!

Did you watch the full video? It had a shot of Flying Spaghetti Monster dancing.

I saw her (assuming it's the same person) the first year she was there. I asked to be touched by her noodly appendage.

U.S. Open:

Oudin is not doing so well in the beginning of her match.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That was awesome!

How does Oudin say her name? My grandmother went to call her oo-DEHN like in French, but then was correcting herself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dana: she has a history of losing the first set, so it's anyone's guess. I'm avoiding the match for a while for that reason.

My grandmother went to call her oo-DEHN like in French, but then was correcting herself.

That's how the ESPN crew are saying it, but I have a suspicion they're all saying Safina (like SaFEENa) wrong (I thought she actually corrected people that it was SAFina, more like her brother's name). So who knows.

I'm glad Safina's out, because I don't think she should be #1 either, although she will hold onto her ranking anyway. One of the commentators said that #1 should be who you're most afraid to play, and that puts Serena quite squarely there, and probably the Williams sisters there for doubles, even if they don't make it to the finals.

I'm saying it the French way. Like boudin.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have NBC on for Obama's address to Congress, and watching the Cabinet come in the chamber, it struck me: I wonder if, these days, Hillary Clinton is glad she lost the primary?

Also, in that red suit, she is spectacular.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think Hilary Clinton is glad that someone else in the party is taking a beating on health care.

I'm watching CBS and Katie Couric and Bob Schieffer just had a completely inane conversation about how Obama should lay off on the kissing during flu season.
