Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

NILLY!! DRESS!!! WEDDING!!!!

That may have taken all my energy for the day.

Two days at the Open was good. Not happy to be back at work.

Both excited and terrified for school starting tomorrow. Seriously.

My dad is getting itchy to go back home, and I do not blame him. Sadly, I do not think my mom is well enough to swap out with him and I do not feel great about putting mac into a new afterschool program after just 3 days of adjusting to school. I guess we will talk after tomorrow and see what we think can reasonablly be done. At some point he has to deal with it just being the two of us again, AND a new afterschool. just facts.

IODadN - he steam cleaned all the carpets and upholstered furniture in the house yesterday - RAWK! I moved mac back to his bed last night, dad took over my room, and I am on an aerobed on mac's floor. I am taking that as a half step back to normalcy.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Nilly, you are going to be a beautiful bride!

Unrelatedly, I have a crush on TJ Thyne from Bones

Oh, my, yes. I have quite the Thing for him.

Commute took 1.5 hours this morning. That sucks hairy donkey balls.

My kids won't be seeing the speech today at school. But, assuming school officials approve it, they might see it later this week at school. Their teachers are pretty likely to okay it.

Really, no. There's some new construction (in addition to the 6 year old construction) that's causing about a 30 minute backup. I need to find an alternate route.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Commute took 1.5 hours this morning.

Damn. That sucks.

Since I now live much closer to Evanston (two blocks), my commute can be as short as 25 minutes. It would probably be ten or 15 if I drove.

So they are installing new cabling on my floor, so I have 2 ladders and 2 guys in my office, sawing holes in the wall and someone running a vacuum in the office they just finished with. Peaceful and conducive to work it is not.

msbelle read my mind!

Not happy to be back at work.

msbelle read my mind, again!

I hope that commute time isn't going to be a regular thing, ChiKat.

I have been enjoying my 10-15 minute commute-by-car that I started since going back to work. Unfortunately, it does look more and more like we will have to think about buying a second car to make life go smoothly with the juggling of two full time jobs, nanny share and dog. Having never made a car payment in my life, I don't really want to start now, so I'm half hoping my parents offer to sell us the car they're currently loaning us.

I have some construction issues on my commute as well but luckily the alternate routes are pretty decent. Today's only trick was the railway crossing that cried wolf, well I guess it cried train, but no wolves or trains were to be seen.
