Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That really sucks, tommy! I'm surprised Comcast didn't install--were they there more to do a look-see to see how to do the install?

The guy discovered that someone needs to go on the roof and hook something up. That's a special visit that he couldn't do.

sarameg's physical fitness shames me.

It shouldn't! keep in mind until this past month, my exercise routine consisted of having meetings on the 4th floor! FOR 12 YEARS. So. I just discovered that, yes, indeed, I do like working my body, and luckily, my current circumstances allow me to do that conveniently. I hope to keep this up, but I'm not placing bets.

Oh, I meant to mention that I was looking through a book catalog at the break room at B&N yesterday, and saw some good stuff in the humor section--a behind-the-scenes book on The Simpsons, a book of Simon's Cat, and the first volume of the complete Bloom's County.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

"Five dollars in pennies."

WTF indeed.

I had $5.50 in pennies yesterday. Enough mass there that it's definitely not something you can carry around casually.

The fee at the Coinstar machine is too high for my taste (8.9%), so I rolled them up and took them to the bank. The tellers didn't exactly roll their eyes and sigh, but I got the distinct impression that the transaction was unusual and possibly unwelcome.

I'm going home now, where I can watch TV that is non-cable, and not post from my netbook.

Boo.

But soon I will have all my curtains up, which means I can safely be naked in my apartment.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Can't you get it done with no fee if you get it converted to an Amazon gift certificate? Or various others? I need to do that at some point.

Hil, I believe it was you asking for a transcript of GHW Bush's 1991 speech to schoolchildren? Well, here it is.

P-C, I didn't know that. I'll have to look into it the next time my change jar is full. Thanks.

I think so. At least, I did it last year before Christmas, and then I just used the Amazon GCs to pay for the gifts I bought. Easy peasy.
