My boss knows me a bit too well. He forwarded me an email asking if I was aware of this fuckup by YYYY that's going to cause me a lot more work (which no one even whispered anything until now). I responded with "I am now" which on the surface is perfectly neutral, but in my head is dripping with sarcasm and rebuke and irritation.

For some reason I had to look up what kind of planes they fought in Top Gun. It says MIG-28s. There are no MIG-28s. There are MIG-27s (though that's more of a ground attack plane) and MIG-29s which would have been cool but I'm not sure they were in service yet when Top Gun came out, it would be awfully close. Oh well, they probably used F-5s with a commie paint job and called them MIG-28s, I guess that makes as much sense as any alternative.
