Oh god, msbelle, like you needed more stress and work in your home life.

right?
Anyhoo, I found a highly recommended exterminator on a bedbug forum, already called them and much to my surprise the guy picked up and will be getting back to me today with some instructions.
Apparently I should not wash too much before an inspection. mac's bed has been in plastic covering and it shows no signs, so hopefully his bed is free.
I just want to run the vacuum everywhere RIGHT NOW (seal up the bag and toss it), also start the laundry, and shower (I know not helpful). WHat I do not want to do is think about how much money this is all gonna cost.
ok, off to email the management company.
I have no idea if homeowner's insurance would cover it, but it's worth a check, anyway. Or maybe the co-op has some insurance?
the co-op won't cover anything, I am positive, but I should check with my insurance. treatment is definitely going to hit my deductible, if it is a covered thing.
Oh crap, msbelle! There's an epidemic of them around here, too, and they are totally capable of hitching a ride into your home, so no matter how cleanly you are, you're not guaranteed that you won't get hit.
Here's hoping that you're getting the infestation in its first few days, so that it can be dealt with decisively and swiftly.
Oh yeah, Theo - intellectually I know this is not about me being clean, but like so many other things lately, it seems like an indictment on my life.
no insurance coverage.
oh fuck. msbelle, I am sorry.
I have been trying for a week to get tickets to the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica (since I'm teaching around there for the next 2 weeks) for a week. I finally was successful today for next Tuesday. I know where this building is -- I always thought it was some fancy shmancy club. I can't wait to see the pool.
Oh msbelle, that truly sucks.
That said, last night I lay down on the floor to stretch my back and got bitten by something twice. I am in red alert flea paranoia. Not bedbug bad, but they are my most feared bug.
