Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Saturday: Baby shower/picnic for co-worker, for the whole family including the dog. For once, I actually had a real idea about what would be a good present.

Sunday & Monday: The usual.

ita, Apple Pan at 11:30? Though I'd be happy to go somewhere else, because Noah doesn't really handle the sitting at the counter well. California Chicken place on Westwood?

I saw a local editorial about how Obama should have release a copy of the address to the school kids so the wingnuts wouldn't be able to do what they've done or at least look extra silly.

The comments were of course mixed people deriding the columnist and talking about how outrageous an action the president was taking. Not all, but probably about half. The funny part was after a string of anti-Obama posts a comment about how the site was all pro-Obama and the anti-Obama posts would all be deleted.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't tell if the second commenter on that page knows they're linking to a parody news site or not.

Mostly, I find it ironic that parents are protesting a "stay in school" speech by...pulling their kids out of school. Classy!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have a short day today since they are letting us go at 3:00 (and feeding us pizza for lunch) and Monday off, but I have nothing more exciting than chores and catching up on TV planned.

I have the same, except substitute "pizza for lunch" with "have very difficult come to Jesus meeting with my junior staffer regarding an official complaint about her behavior". Ugh.
