Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Overheard at work...

"So what is more, a boat load of money or a shit load of money?"

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

If your boat holds less than your large intestine you either have a very tiny boat or major health problems.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe you're a fetishist and your intestine holds your toy boat.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

Maybe you heard him wrong, and it was a "shipload" of money. A ship is bigger than a boat.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Unless the boat is a submarine. Submarines can be very big but traditionally are called "boat".

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Tell your dad I say hello, ita. I was so sad I didn't get to talk to him more over dinner.

I stayed home, took a vacation day. Will tidy up a bit, take the glorious Megan Walker's Paris geography posts, and finish up France in a little bit. I so hope I can complete the book tonight. I'm also so hoping that it finds a publisher. I really love this little bat, and will be heartbroken if the story isn't compelling enough.
