Go home! Go home! My boss is taking today off, so I have to go to work, but everyone else, go home!
I was surprised to find out at the height of the 30s Dust Bowl, dust storms ran all the way to NY/NJ.
The man who was in charge of soil conservation and trying to get Congress to pay attention to the Dust Bowl's problems was testifying to the House while the dust from the biggest "black blizzard" was sweeping towards Washington, DC. An aide whispered in his ear that the cloud was visible on the western horizon and should be passing over the Capitol soon. As the windows grew dark and the Congressmen could see the dust flying past, he said, "Gentlemen, there goes Oklahoma."
He got the money he was asking for the next day.
OMG! going home would be awesome! I am cranked up with energy (no idea why) and would much rather deal with my life stuff than invoices.
proof: just called and got info on the afterschool program I think we are going to try.
Listen, I'll make a deal with the universe -- everyone that wants to go home from work here can go, provided I land a job that I have to go to and not be at home. That seems like a fair trade, yes?
I have no energy, my heart went all wacky last night which set off the adrenaline. So I slept poorly. I ended up giving on on sleep for a while and played Bookworm Adventures since I wasn't up to writing.
I will need to be up at 4 tomorrow, since my plane for DragonCon leaves at 5:20. I have to make two connections to get there at a reasonable hour.
Now I'm debating whether or not to check my luggage so I don't have to schlep it through two airports. On the other hand, I will be beyond pissed if my luggage doesn't arrive on time.
Otters are always good value. One of the main attractions (for me) at the Philly Zoo was that they had giant otters. Otters longer than I am, quite something to see.
I'm sure I've told this a million times. I saw wild giant otters in Peru. I watched them lying back in the water holding piranah with their all-too-human-looking hands and chomping the fishes like we'd chomp a sandwich.

Gud, your heart going wacky doesn't sound good.
I've got afib, it happens. Most of the time it's under control.

That sounds like an excellent trade.
