Thanks msbelle. None of it has been bad stuff, I've just been a bit overwhelmed by everything happening at once. Mind you, this happens every year. You'd think I'd anticipate it better by now.

I have had a headache for over a 3 days now. It's not aided by Yo Gabba Gabba.
K's friend was evacuated due to the fire today and she's actually leaving which is good. I mean, the leaving part, not the need to leave.
N and I are set to go to an indoor playground in Studio City. I'm not thrilled about it, but better than not getting to play.
On Saturday I attended the 40th birthday party for a friend of mine. (After working a full shift, no less. Blah.)
The theme was "The Prisoner". Said friend's partner had huge Rover-esque balloons all over the yard, and the cake was round and white and had little hands pushing OUT of it, just like Rover had caught someone.
It was both yummy AND disturbing. (and after being carved up, looked like a Raving Rabid, too...)
Timelies all!
Got back from NY last night. Had another busy day yesterday, with brunch with my brother and his family (Ok, my brother, his MIL and my nephews...my SIL was feeling ill and stayed in bed) in the morning and a housefilk in the afternoon. (We got lost on the way to the housefilk...stupid google maps)
SH, please tell me that someone had one of those round chairs for the birthday honoree to sit in!
Unfortunately, Kathy, no.
The partner did "rent" a Sonny Bono impersonator to "entertain" us for the evening.
I think that was enough surrealness for the WHOLE YEAR.
Good luck, Jesse!
Home today as work was closed for air quality concerns, but fortunately the air is still good here in the Valley.

And lethal cuteness - Noah sings. [link]
Ded now.
Yay, Noah--great song!!! I even recognized it, since he's got a lot of the lyrics down!
I LOVE when little kids end each song by clapping and shouting "Yay!" for themselves! It is adorable.
