You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, Allyson. Closed for fire is scary!

But hey, more time to work on the book, yeah?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm closing in on the end of it. Unsure how to feel about having more time re: fire. On the one hand, it's more time. On the other hand, big fire and evacuations and worry about my coworkers in the area. I'm frantically emailing my scientists. I have one little postdoc foreign national whose badge is expiring on the 31st, and his paperwork was just approved before I left. I have no idea how to get him on lab to get his new badge and security clearance. Poor little boo.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Someone please shoot me.

Movers forgot a bunch of stuff. I'll have to come back here (my old place) tomorrow and maybe get a cab so I can take it to storage.

My brain is totally fried. I've felt on the verge of crying for the last seven hours or so. (I think if I did cry I'd feel better, but so far I haven't been able to.)

How the hell did they forget stuff? Bastards.

I told them to take everything from this one closet. They missed everything on the top shelf.

Maybe it wasn't obvious for a non-tall person....

Aw, tommy. Moving is so stressful. Do you have your bed set up at your new place? If not, do so, and try and get a good sleep.

My pregnant friend just emailed me that she's having contractions! BUT, she had contractions for six hours on Friday night and no baby. That kid is taking it's time.

Sorta' More like a mattress pad and blankies. I'm gonna get a new bed as soon as I get paid.

Kitty is already at the new place. She's been alternating between hiding and exploring. But she seems OK.
