Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You're not a terrible person, Kathy. People forget things.

Sue, ginger ice cream would be divoon with that pie!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People forget things.

Like your uncle forgot to call you and chat.

Not that I don't hate it when my uncles call. I'm not close to any of them, but one tried to strike up a relationship with me a few years ago, and it was just...I had nothing to say. I like them, I just have no sustained conversations bubbling up in me.

Today my nose tickles less, but I'm sneezing more. And I don't know if I'm imagining it, but I swear I can smell the smoke on the air. I'm wondering if I should shut the windows and turn on the AC. But that's so loud. I can't keep it up for long.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe it's meant to be ice cream topping!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I realize I'm easily entertained and generally nosy, but I am highly amused that the guy who bought the (Alan) Cumming cologne I just sold on eBay has an online knife store and is in some random midwestern town.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Like your uncle forgot to call you and chat.

My parents have a special phone line. It only calls me when there's Family Drama. Otherwise, it's an incoming line only. I know this because they complain if I don't call. So clearly they can't call me. Unless it's my birthday.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Block party going on outside today. VERY VERY LOUD MUSIC. Do not want.

It was tasty Ice Cream topping. But I have to say that the ginger ice cream was almost overwhelming. A little goes a long way.

Have I mentioned here that because of my lower back pain, I started seeing a massage therapist. It seems my gluteals are in spasm. Yes, my butt is in spasm. I am past the pain point by now, but I have to say, having your butt all tensed up is not very comfortable. And it's a surprisingly hard area to get a good stretch in.

Heh. Cass, that sounds kind of like my landline--I'm always suspicious if it rings. Like "who has this number? why is it ringing??" (I use it for business, so if it's business hours, yes. Otherwise? Verrrry few people have the number...)

Ginger peach pie sounds yum!!

Laura I LOVE your turquoise laundry room!! VERY cheerful!! Faboo!

I ended up having a great birthday party last night, all unplanned. Went to karaoke, and then it was hot and mad crowded, and a bunch people were talking about going to this other dance, but then some folks were like "oh, the cover there is too expensive", and we were like "hmm, what else to do..." and I hadn't cleaned so I couldnt' invite them to my place...and then one of the people was like "I have a rooftop deck! Let's go there!" so we stopped and bought beer and chips and it was perfect! (And some of the people who'd gone dancing texted and said it was lame, and ended up at our impromptu party).
