I think I've heard some of it, actually.

Hi all!
Just yesterday my daughter was asking me if she could dress up as Wonder Woman for Halloween. Now thanks to Kat that answer can be yes.
And now the Japanese and Russian Coast Guards have large cutters steaming into Puget Sound. My boss refers to this as "CoastGuardCon".
One of the roving fireboats is spouting water, the same greeting they gave the fleet when it arrived for Seafair a few weeks back; the boss (we call him "Badger") says that's why the Russians and Japanese are here - free boat washes.
Timelies all!
Meh, I got nothin'
Huh. All the Sondheim reminded me, of course, of Sweeney.
Come visit DC, my theatre is doing Sweeney! I promise to find you lots of nice gay boys. I'll bet that if I asked around I could find some gothy ones, too!
flea, I don't know if they changed that yet -- meara, when John Kerry was running for president and there was a Republican governor, they made a rule that it needs to be a special election, not an appointment, or something.
I am so eyerolly about this whole thing. I mean, the nerve of it. Like, OMG we cannot even think about a REPUBLICAN (elected by the people of the state) (who, uh, I didn't vote for and didn't like, but still...) replacing a senator so let's change the law... 5 years later, a Democrat in office and we have to change it back? I really kind of hate my state's Democrats for this whole thing. It's so fucking obnoxious.
Ugh!

Bwha!
This new ute overload past makes me think of the toy boat fetish:: [link]
I made walnut arugula pesto for dinner. Husband's not home yet, so I've only tasted it to see if it's got enough oil, but wow. That packs a serious punch. Arugula is from the farmer's market and is way spicier than I feel a leafy green has any right to be.
Arugula pesto is awesome, but we usually temper the spice with parmesan and another herb like parsley or basil. It's still a strong flavor, but a little more mellow. Tom made some last night and I think we are having it again tonight. Yum!
