Our wings are not tired.

In general, how do kids handle it if their team gets beaten badly?

For the most part my boys have handled it well, but when kids on a team (either side) cry it kills me.

Doing the dance of 2nd week of school here. My life has something resembling a routine and everything.

We are into week 3 here. Almost have a routine for mornings and homework in the afternoon.

Today - he has to make a sockpuppet for his French class. Seriously. Ummmm, I'm clueless, so this will be fun.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My theory - they don't want the kids to swear in French, so their solution is for the kids to make their sockpuppets swear.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett can walk away from even a championship loss and be laughing and goofing with his friends minutes later. Not that he's lost a lot of championship games. In fact, I don't know that he's lost in a game for a championship. We've come in third and lower, but never second. Huh. Anyway, he's still lost important tournament and all-star games and it doesn't faze him.

He starts school on Wednesday. They start with a short week, and then they've got another short week with Labor Day weekend to help ease them into the year.

He's in 8th grade. His last year of middle school. Next year Emmett's going to be in High School! Yikes.

Coding and Sleeping

Next year Emmett's going to be in High School!

Heh. Good one, but it's pretty obvious that can't really be true.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I need a good, hard shove to meet my book deadline this weekend. Help me out???

The finish line is right there, Allyson. You can see it. You can almost smell it. Finishing is great. Ohhhh, the relief. Doooooo it! GO GO GO!

Heh. Good one, but it's pretty obvious that can't really be true.

Seriously. He's going to be a teenager in one month.
