What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Your total monthly bill will only be $ 55.97

And that's with HBO and Showtime.

The living shit, that's better than my deal! Does that include DVR too?

Maybe I'm on Digital Preferred instead of Digital Starter.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't use a Comcast DVR, I've got a lifetime Tivo box (and a Roku). I do have two Comcast boxes, and I don't think that's included in the $55.97

I could tell no real dif between the digital starter and preferred. But honestly the only cable channels I care about are CSN, ESPN, AMC, MSNBC and Comedy Channel. I wouldn't notice any others missing.

I just checked the lineup to see why I wasn't on Standard. Preferred has G4, and I need G4. It also has some Disney and Nicktoon channels that are there when I'm in a tween mood. It also has Fuse, which I used to watch all the time in Ann Arbor but I've never watched here. I should make an effort to watch these extra channels I'm paying for!

Good job on the great deal, you!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Okay, I'm going to have to check in with Comcast too. I'll report back with the results.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Wow, what a terrific deal! I was able to get Comcast to drop my cable tv by $30/month just by calling to see if they'd fix my dvr (different problem than the current one)--the rep I was speaking with just offered me the discount out of the blue!

Speaking of my dvr problems, my current one is rather bizarre. It only happens if I'm recording two shows back-to-back on the same channel (for example, TDS and Colbert) and am watching either another channel or a previously-recorded show when the second show starts. For some reason, the dvr won't notice that the second show is playing and record it like it's supposed to (when I pull up the menu, the red dot is on, indicating it should be recording) until I turn the channel over to the show that should be recording. Only at that point will the dvr go, "Oh, that's right, I should be recording this!" and begin recording. That's happened with both Colbert and Rachel Maddow in the past week.

Between that and the fact that the thing won't delete an old ep of SYTYCD, I'm glad they're going to replace it on Sunday. But, I do have to watch/record the rest of the stuff on my queue tomorrow! (I still haven't watched McKellan's King Lear from several months ago.)
