Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, msbelle, I wish you were closer. I could take Mac for you during the days. Emmett and I are just hanging for his last few days of summer. There would be nerf dart guns and running around.

Welcome back, Lyra!

I've lost my goddamn wallet yet again. This time I know the last time I had it (9:30 AM at the Union 76 in Camarillo) but I can't find it anywhere. ARGH.

Check the sushi place? Under the car seats? That sucks.

Nearly killed myself going for a long, fast walk in heat and humidity. But ...I had to. I couldn't sit still. What happened to sarameg??

Nah. It's somewhere in Camarillo I think. I couldn't find it before sushi.

Our phone is not working which is peeving me because it's attached to the cable. GR. ARGH.

I just read that the flight into Paro, Bhutan? Visual flight rules. Seriously. Flying by sight. In an airbus 300 series. I mean, I'd heard the rumor only 8 qualified pilots, and lived it, which was wild, but that's a big whacking plane to dodge down a valley! It was seriously awesome.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I'm still worried that my inherent suburban white girl cluelessness will screw things up. I don't want to do that!

I meant to say this earlier, but Jilli, don't worry. You can say exactly that if you want to! People will appreciate your good intent, and I am very glad you're addressing the issue.

IOJilliN, I finally picked up my copy of your book from my friendly local bookseller and burbled to them about it. Yay, book!

IOotherN, I bought one of the Haagen Dazs five ingredient ice creams today...ginger. It is awesome and very weird.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

msbelle is on her way home, finally -- we got something to eat first. But still -- ugh.
