Awww, sweets. I've had days like that with CJ. Luckily things have improved over the years. I hope the same for you, even though that doesn't help TODAY.
My co-workers are terrific. When I got off the phone with my mom this morning, my two next-cubicle neighbors were immediately at my desk to see what was up and if I was okay. And just now, my boss's boss came by--my boss is working from the downtown office and had told me when I called her this morning that if I wanted to go home, I could, but I didn't want to sit at home and stress. Bill heard from her about my "bad news," and came over to reassure me that if I wanted to go home early, they'd cover anything that needed to get done.
Aw, that's great, Kathy. Much ~ma for your brother.
Guy Who Just Beat You To Bus Stop Usain Bolt:
NEW YORK—Eyewitnesses confirm that the unusually quick young man who sprinted past you on the sidewalk this morning carrying a briefcase in one hand and a tall coffee in the other and easily caught the bus that you missed by over 10 seconds was, in fact, multiple Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Usain Bolt. "Why, hello there," said Bolt when you finally arrived at the office, noting that he had already finished his coffee, gotten the last onion bagel from the break room, taken the sports page from the office copy of USA Today, and started chatting up the new girl in marketing. "What kept you?" People who saw Bolt run past you say he would have caught the bus even more easily had he not been celebrating and taunting you for the last half-block.
Much ma, Kathy.
BARB! Clearly, someone up here needs to hire your husband, ASAP, because I found you a house! [link]
Okay, so selfishly, it'd be awesome, 'cause I could walk there from my parents' place.

Hee! That's amazing and OMG the VIEW! except a little short on space for us. (she admits shamefacedly). I saw this one yesterday and thought it looked both cool and had nifty history.
Just got off the phone with Mom--she spoke with Y (the girlfriend whose name I didn't know until just now) who said that they're waiting on blood tests now. He's off the oxygen and his color is much better. He should be getting moved into a private room tomorrow (I can call him then), and if everything stays on track, they'll be flying back next Monday. She's able to stay with him for the week, so apparently she has someone able to stay with her kids until then (she's a teacher, and school doesn't start until after Labor Day).
They went to Epcot on Saturday and he had no problems, but after his Sunday morning jog, he told her he was having some heaviness in his chest. A few hours later, he told her he was feeling something in his arms, and she immediately packed him up and took him to the hospital. Thanks God for Y! He had 100% blockage in the artery that's known in the medical field as "The Widowmaker."
Wow. Glad things weren't worse....
Wow, that's great.
