We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm so sorry for your loss, Cindy.

I'm a firm believer in the automatic transmission, especially ever since my terrifying drive up Queen Ann's Hill in Seattle in my sister's stick-shift, where I just knew I was not going to be stopping if I got a red light, because there was no way in hell I'd be able to start from a stop and continue up the hill.

My brother is going into court today for what should be his last time to complete his divorce. Sad.

what's the site that gives you login and passwords to sites. After many years cyberpunk/cyberpunk is not working for me at NYTimes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Did any one else hear the thing about humans in heat over 212 degrees on ATC? Super interesting: [link]

When I was at the Russian bath house, I was in a dry sauna that was 190 degrees. I was all, "I'm in a room that's 190 degrees! How is that possible?"

It didn't feel that bad. I stayed in there for a while.

It's bugmenot.com [link]

You can also use Buffistas/foamy at NYT. But lately, every few pages views I get a "page not found" message from the NYT. I think it may be a bug or something.

nevermind. it's bugmenot, but I can;t get there, my company classifies it as a hacking/computer crime site. grr.

I was online shoe shopping last night and discover that my much loved and uber comfortable Reebok Nautical Mile shoes are no longer made, so I did a desperate search and found the LAST pair of oranges ones on one site (they will replace my current orange ones) and then found a brown pair on ebay. I've decide that when I find a style of shoe that I really like I am going to try and buy at least one replacement pair.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Today is already on the FAIL list, and I am still in my PJs.

{{Cindy & family}}

I've always driven a manual transmission, and I taught my husband to drive one on my car in the Berkeley hills. I figured that since we didn't kill each other during that experience (and the car survived, too) he was a keeper. I get confused by automatic transmissions, but I suspect that our next car will have one, as some aches and pains belonging to my DH make the shifting uncomfortable on long trips.

My sister and her family arrive today to visit for a few days. It no longer matters if the house is a mess or the 'fridge is empty - I just put them in the same room as the baby and they don't notice the rest.

Most trusted newscaster. I have no idea how accurate this really is.

Personally I think there should be a news shows that teams the top two choices together.

Our wings are not tired.

I always enjoy the Stewart/Williams show. They were quite brilliant Monday(?) night together.
