Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

ita's aquatic wildlife concern, iirc, is lake whales.

Freshwater-able sharks! Of course this doesn't explain how I still am sort of scared that there can be sharks in swimming pools. I'm not sure why I think that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took my folk to Udvar-Hazy, the Air and Space Annex. Neat stuff, even if G and I were more interested in the space/rocket stuff than my folks were.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Bob Dylan detained by police who don't recognize him and think he might have wandered away from a psychiatric hospital.

Sounds a lot better than, "he didn't look right in that neighborhood."

You're a desert dweller? All the water bewilders you a bit?

Honey, you still occasionally worry that there could be sharks in bathtubs.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

But yeah, the lakes around here are mud-bottomed puddles of orange water.

That's pretty much how I remember Lake Norman (North of Charlotte NC). I enjoyed it way back then as a kid, but now this is what comes to mind:

Mud, mud, glorious mud!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My worst swimming experience was in Virginia at a literal watering hole filled with silty squishy clay and crawfish. I could jump into the deep part, but getting out I had to walk through the grossness.

Or maybe the worst experience was being at a crowded beach when I was wee and nobody saw the little boy trying to drown me in the shallows.

Best was being pummelled by waves post-hurricane in NC. The beach had been torn away so it was a steep 45 degree grade down to the water line, and trying to actually get in the ocean was an exciting challenge, because the waves kept smashing against that beach wall. 90% of my attempts wound up with me flying back into the churning sand and rocks like supergirl.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am heat treating ziploc bags. I am not sure I can convey how happy this makes me. I may be at the end of the weekly purchases.

I am also going through mac's school supply list. It looks like we have about half the stuff. I am heat treating what I can, bagging the rest (markers, glue).

also, laundry. 2 loads in. 2 more on deck.
