Cat and kittens are FLV+. Have told my mom, and we are cautiously optimistic. At least she did not go crazy, and they are being cutie pies!
Oh Sophia. Megan and her DH adopted a stray adult cat that turned out to be FLV+. The vet said they must keep him inside, away from other animals. They only had him a year before he got some kind of illness and had to be put to sleep.
What does it say about me that when I read this in COMM, without having seen the FCM, I thought, "Superman, of course."

I had no idea who he was at the time, but his was the only character I was engaged by.
It is very sad, but we are all (my friend, who has momma cat and 2 kittens, my mom, who has 2 kittens and coworker who has one kitten) committed to giving them the best possible life and taking it one day at a time. Apparently kittens need to be retested in 3 months, because they can fight off the virus so there is still hope for the babies.
and they can live a long time -- I know someone who has a cat FLV+ that has lived for a quite awhile
