Why don't they understand that women are people?

Because we're not people, we're breeders that are going to continue their lineage and increase their status. Sheep, goats, womenfolk. No difference.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Have none of these people been denied coverage by their private healthcare company? Because a shitload of people are, every day. Because your insurance company is a money-making enterprise. They don't actually care about your care!

EXACTLY. Seriously - a bureaucrat standing in between you and your doctor? IS WHAT WE HAVE NOW, DUMBASSES.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why are you guys trying to give me a rage attack?!?!?

Sorry! Sorry! I just didn't want to be ragey by myself anymore! And I keep reading the comments sections where it's all Blame Misogyny (if women were more compliant, we wouldn't have to kill them).

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If they think like that, they should go try their pick up lines on the sheep and goats.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

health care makes me ragey --

dh had a drug that worked -- but after 2 yrs an insurance co said nope, off label. He has something that woks sort of now. Agter going through a procedure --- but now His co wasn't happy with the insurance plan. So we have new insurance, maybe. So that fact that his co can get between us and healthcare is another thing.

The PUA thing is like the rules -- How can I get and never give.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I expect there are a number of older people who really believe they'll be force to go to death boards to justify their continued existence.

The boy's parents -- both in their 70s, one of whom has fairly serious COPD and has to be on oxygen 24/7 -- are in this group. They actually believe that they'll have to have to meet with a doctor who will give them options of how they can die. I overheard The Boy on the phone with his mom, saying, "Mom, they AREN'T going to give you a pill to commit suicide!"

Blows my tiny little mind, it does.

They do. That's where they get their practice, because the sheep and goats just bleat at them.

I don't know how many times Hubby has stood at the pharmacy desk and said, "So how do I sue the insurance company goons who are denying me this drug for practicing medicine without a license?"

But if a stranger walked up and said something like that, I'd think, who the fuck are you, and why do you think it's okay to talk to me in a manner that assumes a pre-existing intimate relationship with me, and also fuck right the hell off.

Teppy is me.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

I seriously don't understand how someone who isn't a complete idiot would believe it.

I don't think they're idiots; I think they're middle-aged men (or older) who seroconverted during Reagan or Bush 1, and learned that the US doesn't give a rat's ass if they take another breath. They've been programmed by a total of 5 Republican Presidential terms to assume that the system of health care in this country is just going to let them to die as the "most moral" choice available (since only faggots who should burn in Hell get HIV, natch).

And now the same Republican pundits who have been pounding that lesson into our (my generation's) head for the last 30 years are suddenly AFRAID that the DEMOCRATS are going to do this to everyone, not just AIDS folk?

Of course they're scared - it's entirely plausible. (Except that it ISN'T, it's FEAR MONGERING, but like I said before - the rational counter-arguments are totally lost in a sea of DEATH DEATH DEATH chants in the media.)
