You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What makes those "bondage heels"?

I'd have called them gladiator-style, but I imagine putting the words "bondage" and "Angelina Jolie" that close together is good SEO.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Giant 'meat-eating' plant found

A new species of giant carnivorous plant has been discovered in the highlands of the central Philippines.

The pitcher plant is among the largest of all pitchers and is so big that it can catch rats as well as insects in its leafy trap.

...

Pitcher plants are carnivorous. Carnivorous plants come in many forms, and are known to have independently evolved at least six separate times. While some have sticky surfaces that act like flypaper, others like the Venus fly trap are snap traps, closing their leaves around their prey.

Pitchers create tube-like leaf structures into which insects and other small animals tumble and become trapped.

Today is not pear shape. Today is ghot shaped. Or jack fruit shaped. Or perhaps this

Huh. I didn't know what they called ghot in Bhutan was very likely durian.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Apartment treatment scheduled for Thursday. Technician would not give me the info I wanted (what peticides will they use) because he was a dismissive poophead who seemed to think "We use different things, it depends what they see. They will do an effective job." was somehow an ok answer. I said I wanted the names and he stammered and I will just try to get it from whomever actually ends up at my place on Thursday. I'll also let the building know that this is information they should request and demand.

I have to board the cats for 2 nights, so now to call the vet and see if they have space Thurs and Fri night.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

What makes those "bondage heels"?

Nothing.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I know this is the usual language, but it always sounds so arrogant to me -- this isn't a 'new' species, y'all just haven't heard of it yet.

Very appropriate if your day stinks.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm developing an unhealthy obsession with this whole PUA movement thingy that I learned about after the gym shootings by the "nice guy" who was sure he was entitled to fresh young women by the boatload.

I can't stop reading about it. Which is just making me more and more angry. Ugh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is "Yo soy mucho" even proper grammar?

In my head, it sounds a lot like "he's so very" from Heathers. Possibly not what they were going for.

Heh. I'm choosing to interpret it as "I am legion."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The healthcare stuff is making me angry, with people hijacking town meetings and spreading such rampant disinformation.

And so many people who oppose healthcare reform strike me as selfish and racist and classist. I know, as with everything, there are plenty of people with rational objections, but it's hard to be charitable when you're angry.
