Depends. In our case, the big expense isn't the dishwasher, it's the kitchen remodel that would need to go with it. We don't have a deep enough counter to house a dishwasher, so we'd need to take out a wall first.

There are freestanding dishwashers that wouldn't require construction. I have friends who got one when they had their first child.

Oh, huh. I haven't even measured the space I'm thinking of. (Though really, if the dishwasher sticks out an inch or two, that's still better than washing bottles or sippy cups by hand.)
Even *I* know that somebody who'd give a growing baby skim is a special kind of asshole. Not to mention I don't use it myself, either. I don't exactly have firm milk opinions...last time I went to a coffeehouse and the lady said "What milk for your latte?" I said "Cow's, please." But why is hard to understand babies have different requirements?

so in the past 3 days, we've waited over 10 hours for the plumber to show up (3 times) to fix something in the shower. He showed up 10 minutes after his two-hour call-window. He replaced a part, but it's not the correct one so he has taken off AGAIN to get the part he needs. Really? So irksome.
