Our quarterly "State of the Company" meeting was today. Mostly blah, blah, blah stuff but at the end they had a drawing for "fabulous prizes". And I won a mini-Honey Baked Ham. Woot.
Our family is big on Backgammon. CJ plays pretty cutthroat but doesn't always make the most strategic moves. He is old enough that I don't hold back. Sometimes I'll question his thought process on a move, but I don't let him change it - more trying to get him to think of other options.
will do.
I am already rating myself as exceeding expectations in 3 of the 5 categories. I'll also be asking for a title change, more vacation, and a raise.
I finally got around to putting up some
pictures of my new
nephew, Simon!
Aww, Simon is a cutiehead!
Here's a sample of me letting him know other people suck my work down: "As contracts come up, I have provided the manager resposible with the paperwork and have directed them to work with Purchasing as required. Contracts have been renewed with mixed results."
He's a grumpyfaced cutie baby!!!
I feel like such a dunce. My orientation meeting for library school is tonight, and I couldn't figure out the online campus map to see where was the best place to park, so I called my designated contact at school's admissions office. After asking her about parking, I then asked if there was an intracampus mailbox I could drop off some enrollment forms as well as my tuition check. She told me that they didn't take checks but that I could pay online instead.
Well, of course they do! It just never occurred to me since the last time I had to pay tuition was back in January 1988, when everything for registration was done in person at one location one or two days before classes started. I told her that it's going to take me a bit to get used to school being computerized.
What a cutie, sucking his thumb(s) like that!
