(It would have been better if I had onions or wine in the house, among other things.) It's been a while since I've had a bug linger this long. I think it's more than just a cold, although I keep referring to it as a cold. Considering the doctor gave me antibiotics because of my cough/chest symptoms, maybe I should call this a respiratory infection.

I just call it shitty.

Add me to the list of sicklings. Just a cold, but my lungs are so congested it's like breathing through a wet, wool blanket.

I've made a big pot of Jack Devine stew, and a pot of the veggie chili for JZ and we're getting prepped for Matilda's first day of pre-school and Emmett's return to school after vacation.

I have to rouse them both and get them out of the house by 7am tomorrow, drive Emmett to school, then turn around and commute back across the Bay Bridge, find parking and get Matilda to school. Where I will spend the first day with her.

It's actually good I spend the first day there since JZ will be doing almost all the dropoff and pickup henceforth - it being at her workplace.

Does anyone know if you can substitute a white sauce for cream of mushrrom canned soup in a casserole recipe? I am assuming yes, as I do it for tuna casserole and everything works out.
