Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh noes msbelle. I was hoping it would go over well. It`s so hard to tell with kids and food. In our kiddo food news (okay, young adults) we just fondued and it was a big success. We decided to have them over after their regular Saturday lessons (we teach them after our pay students at the store) so we could make up for the big NYE fail. They loved it. And they ate a lot but not everything so I had the right amount of food. And no major hot oil injuries so I`m going to call the whole thing a win. Now I have a big clean up but it can wait because I`m stuffed and bushed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

what a nuisance, msbelle.

I bought shoes today! Not Fluevogs, but still me happy. My sister introduced me to the news that Marshalls has great shoes. I did not know this! Two pairs of comfy shoes--Merrills and Born--for the price of one!

That's where I got my new boots!

Yay, Liese! Boo, msbelle.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooh, that`s true. I used to buy shoes at Marshalls all the time when I had one. Those are both good brands. I need to save for a new pair of Docs.

I feel vaguely human in the pool. Too bad I can't spend the whole day in it. I am so stupid, I put the soup in the fridge to microwave it.

I need to declutter, clean, and dust. I don't foresee that going well.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I went wandering around a bunch of NC back roads to find the wee airport where I'll be taking pilot ground training classes, starting next Wednesday. Google maps managed to get me good and lost, but eventually I figured out the route.

The Irish cream recipe looks yummy. I'll have to try it and the Kahlua recipe provided earlier, too.

These two paragraphs must never meet.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

As long as they stay in that order, you're probably fine.

Because books.

I found my Merrill's at TJ Maxx, Burrell! I love looking for shoes there and at Marshall's. Great deals.

I'm sorry about the rejected chicken, msbelle. Did you like it anyway?

Did you know that Marshall's and TJMaxx are the same company now? I did not, until recently.

Because books.

I did! They carry very similar stuff -- I could always go to the other store if one didn't have something in my size, and usually find it.

The big difference for us was Marshall's carries kids' shoes, and TJ Maxx doesn't.
